Determinants of intra-industry trade: a sensitivity analysis
Article Abstract:
A sensitivity analysis of the industry pattern of intra-industry trade (IIT) is performed. Determinants of IIT in Sweden for the period 1983-1989 are examined. Extreme bounds-analysis shows that variables are generally fragile in the sense that their statistical significance does not remain when control variables are changed. However, a lone variable proved to be robust in 1983 while two variables also provide the same in 1989.
