Candles
Article Abstract:
The UK candle sector has grown by 76% in the five years to 1998. Reasons for growth include the increasing use of candle products in year-round home decoration and enhancement, and the increasing variety of retail outlets selling candles. Growth looks set to continue although it is likely to become less spectacular. Research amongst consumers revealed that the major use of candles continues to relate to the Christmas season, and that their first preference is for scented candles. The major players in the UK market are Price's Patent Candle Co. Ltd., Colony Gift Corp. Ltd. and Bolsius (UK) Ltd.

Forecast
Article Abstract:
Sales of energy and stimulant drinks in the UK will increase, but at a slower rate than during the past four years. Stimulant drink sales will probably increase 42% compared to 21% for energy drinks. Sales of these relatively high-priced drinks may depend on economic growth.
