Home country empoyment and foreign direct investment: evidence from the Italian case
Article Abstract:
An insight is provided on the relationship between home employment and foreign direct investment (FDI)undertaken by national firms. Evidence suggests that the impact of outward FDI on the labor intensity of domestic production is negative.

Trends in employment and the employment elasticity in manufacturing, 1971-92: an international comparison

Employment elasticity is determined by the way the results of output growth are divided between employment growth and wage growth. It provides a clear idea of the labor market outcome leaning to one or the other of these two interests.
