Industrial policy: problems and prospects
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the promotion of an industrial policy in Russia during the 1990s, including the state's false assumption that success depended on macroeconomic stabilization and the consequences of ignoring the independent and active influence of industrial policy over the country's socioeconomic conditions. The author examines the key structural elements of industrial policy in contemporary Russia including the systemic transformation of production, financial regulation in the real sector, and contemporary technologies for the organization of business.
