Is accession to the World Trade Organization worthwhile?: the experience of Kyrgyzstan
Article Abstract:
Kyrgyzstan easily achieved accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), but the benefits derived from this association are still questionable. The experience of Kyrgyzstan regarding its accession to the WTO showed that the economic growth rate and domestic production remained same as was observed before joining WTO but hopes for inflow of investment and growth of exports have remained incomplete.
