The leading sector is plastics hardware with a total value of some 86 million pounds sterling. Sales of brushes and brooms totalled 31.6 million pounds sterling, with household gloves sales remaining stable at 21.3 million pounds sterling. Leading players in the market include Addis, Plysu, Vileda and LRC. The market for household cleaning goods is forecast to grow from 159 million pounds sterling in 1995 to 183.6 million pounds sterling by 1999.
