U.A.E. immigration law: new legislation, policies
Article Abstract:
The United Arab Emirates has amended its immigration law in order to better police foreign nationals in the country who may pose social, economic and security threats. Federal Law no. 6 of 1973 is the subject of the Immigration Law Amendment and seeks to eliminate the presence of illegal aliens in the country. The amendment does not revise the immigration law substantially though expatriates and their employers have complained of the amendment as being too rash and of taking effect too quickly.
