Reallocating content coverage in principles of microeconomics to increase student learning
Article Abstract:
The Third Edition of the Test of Understanding College Economics (TUCE III) was designed as an indicator of student's knowledge level in the field of introductory microeconomics. Posttest scores obtained from TUCE III have been used by some instructors as a course grade factor. Assessment of TUCE III results indicate a need to shift instructional effort from income distribution and government redistribution policies to costs, revenue, profit and market structure to improve student learning.
