Experiments about economic forecasting show the commercial paper - treasury bill spread is useful in predicting industrial production and real personal income changes. Money aggregates and interest rates were not as useful.

Forecasting stock indices: a comparison of classification and level estimation models
Article Abstract:
Methods of predicting stock market movement are discussed. The tested classification models outperformed the level estimation models in experiments. Threshold trading rules are also discussed.

Housing prices in Baton Rouge, Louisiana were used to test methods for forecasting price changes. The spatial and temporal forecasting model used is examined.
