The chairman of the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority Tan Sri Datuk Zainal indicated he has seen a shift from more capital-intensive technology investment to labor-intensive industries. Major investors in Malaysia come from Japan, the US, Taiwan, and Singapore. Investment in Malaysia and other smaller Asian countries is in rise, and the region could become much more attractive than India and China, according to Zainal.

Driving multimedia development
Article Abstract:
The Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC) of Malaysia was created to ensure the success of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). The MDC will market the MSC, shape its laws and policies, and set infrastructure and urban development standards. The MDC will also reduce bureaucracy, speed licence and permit approvals, and introduce foreign companies to local financiers and partners.
