Private capital flows to the Arab Countries in 2001 and 2002

Saudi Arabian and Gulf State countries expect to receive up to $27.7 billion worth of gas-related foreign investment from 2001 to 2002. Economic concerns regarding Turkey and Argentina will cause a slowdown in the private capital flow to emerging countries.

Arab insurance market: potential to expand rapidly from low base
Article Abstract:
Deregulation of the Arab insurance sector will provide a good opportunity for foreign firms to enter the underdeveloped market in 2005. Insurance is not considered important by Arabs because of religious beliefs and financial hardship.

Tourism in the arab world: gains are made, but region far from reaching potential

Issues are presented concerning the underutilization of tourism in the Middle East. The popularity of Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco are discussed. Investment in the tourist industry by arab countries is considered.
