Productivity growth and factor prices in East Asia
Article Abstract:
Policy reforms which do not directly address concerns on low investment and education do not help poor countries catch up with their rich industrialized counterparts. However, if technology catch-up supported a critical function, then policymakers who want to bridge the gap between the rich and poor countries have possible alternative strategies for promoting economic development.
