Coordination and discrimination in contracting with externalities: divide and conquer?
Article Abstract:
Bilateral contradiction between N agents and one principal, whose trade with each agent generates externalities on other agents, are studied. The effects of prohibiting the principal from coordinating agents on the principal's preferred equilibrium and making different contracts available to different agents are examined.

A complete characterization of Pareto optimality for general OLG economies
Article Abstract:
In the context of general pure exchange overlapping generations (OLG) economies, both sufficient and necessary conditions for Pareto optimality of competitive equilibria are provided. For the case in which all agents live for the same number of periods, it is found that the conditions are equivalent.
