Soviet industrial production, 1928 to 1955: real growth and hidden inflation

Hidden inflation is examined from industrial growth data for the Soviet Union from 1928-1950. New products replacing old products could give rise to hidden inflation. Lower growth figures are seen as not necessarily more reliable.

Monetary growth and inflation in China: a reexamination
Article Abstract:
Cointegration theory is used to reassess links between inflation and monetary forces in mainland China. There appears to be a long-term link between money stock and price level and monetary growth and inflation.
