TSP 4.4: old but powerful econometrics software
Article Abstract:
The effectivity of the TSP 4.4 econometrics software can best be appreciated in time-series studies, where its suite of statistical analysis package can be adequately applied with simple commands. The software package is somewhat limited in effectivity in complex non-linear equations but can be upgraded using the examples list or by accessing the developer's website for the needed upgrades. The only downside of the TSP package is its poor graphics, especially in rendering graphs or matrices.

TSP 4.4 for non-time series
Article Abstract:
The effectivity of the TSP 4.4 for non-time series software package becomes evident in many econometric studies, including time-series studies. Non-linear equations can be done by the software using only the most simple of commands available in the software. But the advantages of the software package in statistical analysis is not adequately supported by the software's graphics capabilities, given its poor rendering of graphs and matrices.

Programming facilties in EViews
Article Abstract:
The effectivity of the EViews software package in econometric research is evident in its capabilities in doing regression analysis. Extended analysis can be done in the software package using built-in routines which can be customized for particular operations. Apart from the strength of its statistical suites, the package is also ably supported by good graphics which enables the researcher to do model diagnosis.
