The Determination of Fertility, Schooling and Child Survival in Guatemala
Article Abstract:
The relationship of child mortality and fertility is examined in a demand model of child services. Consideration is given to fertility, child schooling and survival, as choice variables. Survival is found to be not completely exogeneous. Parental education is an important variable.
