The New Mexico Rural Development Council
Article Abstract:
The New Mexico Rural Development Response Council was established in 1992 in response to the National Initiative on Rural America. It is an experimental project intended to serve as a problem solver and a change agent for the management of rural development. Its main task is creating linkages between public, private and tribal groups, and establishing resources networks focusing on rural problems. The Council's performance is evaluated and suggestions for improvement are offered.
