The thesis of a free market and antitrust laws are substantiated and the effect of antitrust laws on RussiaEs economic development is discussed. The actions by an economic agent in a dominant position that result or may restrict competitive and/or infringe on the interests of other economic agents or individuals are prohibited.

An analysis of import substitution in Russia after the crisis of 1998

The analysis of growth of Russian businesses after the economic crisis of 1998, through import substitution, is presented. The trends of economic development of Russia since the implementation of reforms in the 1990s are discussed.
