Article Abstract:
A simple empirical framework is used to analyze the monetary transmission mechanism. The range of the framework reaches the international level. Changes in the exchange rate play an important function in the transmission mechanism. It is shown that the framework is an effective empirical tool for evaluating policy and for judging the occurrences of monetary transmission mechanism changes.
