Three Days That Shook the EEC
Article Abstract:
The failure of the December summit of European Economic Community (EEC) leaders is analyzed. The controversial issues of limiting annual milk production, and consequently reducing agricultural subsidies and instituting financial controls which would limit member payments, remain unresolved. The positions of member countries on these and other issues are examined. No working program was presented to be considered before the March meeting in Brussels.
