Trudeau Stops Teasing and Pulls the Trigger
Article Abstract:
Following the announcement of Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau's resignation plans, there is no doubt that the Canadians will be holding a general election this year. Trudeau's Liberal Party has been receiving only about a thirty per cent score in recent opinion polls. The liberals have been in power, except for one short period, for over twenty years. The resignation of Trudeau should help their electoral outlook. Last fall Trudeau visited world capitals on a 'peace unitiative', but this did not change his standing among Canadian voters.
