Neil Kinnock, British Labor Party leader, may or may not receive warmly Tony Benn on his probable return to the Labor parliamentary ranks. Kinnock has successfully established a state of equilibrium within the Labor Party. Benn may emerge as a member of the 'loyal opposition'. Opinions vary on what Benn's return to parliament will mean for the Laborites.

Britain's Labor Party has enjoyed increasing popularity since the election of Neil Kinnock as party leader in October 1983. The Thatcher Administration is sliding. This may change as Kinnock becomes better known.
