Welfare costs of sticky wages when effort can respond
Article Abstract:
The impact of wage stickiness when employment has an effort as well as hours dimension and the welfare cost of sticky wages in the face of monetary shocks were studied. The study showed that sticky wages did not create inefficient fluctuations in exertion at work relative to at home and that important costs of wage rigidity required the wages to be sticky and that the variations in exertion were disliked or provided no productive gain.

Should fiscal policy be different in a non-competitive framework?
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to determine whether imperfections in the labor industry justify a different fiscal policy. The assumption of a competitive labor market and introduction of a union with monopoly power, conclude that it is not optimal to implement a countercyclical fiscal policy.
