A swift brawl is all in a medieval day's work
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the value of the Paston archive, an archive of over 1,000 documents and letters written by three generations of the Paston family in the 15th century, to historians studying England in the Middle Ages. It is noted that while the archive gives an unparalleled look at the private life behind the public records of the time, historians have to be careful when drawing general conclusions from the specifics of the documents because their is very little in the way of other resources to providing supporting evidence for any claims that may be made.
