Article Abstract:
Videoconferencing and 3-D software are tools that can be used to explore the possibilities of dance. Artists can set up internet links and see video images of what the other is doing. Life Forms is a computer program from Simon Fraser University, Canada, which is increasingly popular in the UK for the study of dance. Dance and technology are combined in courses at Middlesex University, England, and the University of Surrey, England.

The Canadian Government is to skirt the educational power of the country's provinces by giving money directly to post-secondary students, reducing the cost of going to university, The move is part of the Government's plans to deliver direct grants to low-income and Aboriginal students.
