Assessment of progress in the general curriculum for students with disabilities
Article Abstract:
Assessment of the progress of students with disabilities in the general curriculum is challenging for states and its teachers as they have to determine how academic standards apply to all students and to create universally designed assessments. Research for this should include the continued development and use of universally designed assessments and instructions, the alignment of alternate assessments to state standards and promotion of state standard attainment by students with disabilities through effective teacher practices.
