County responds to higher calling
Article Abstract:
Cumbria is the second largest county in England but it has the second smallest population, which justifies the decision not to build the new Cumbria University. Instead, the university's 17,000 students and 1,500 staff will be disperse across Carlisle, Lancaster and Ambleside in a move to revive the multisite 'distributed' model of higher education.
