Article Abstract:
Many more students would successfully complete their PhD's at academic institutions if they had better relationships and guidance from their supervisors. The Research Student and Supervisor: An approach to Good Supervisory Practice suggests 20 ways of ensuring that this is the case. Students receive a varying standard in supervision, which often ultimately determines their funding and eventual completion of the post-graduate qualification.
