Farewell to journals on the shelf
Article Abstract:
The British Library has reached a landmark agreement with librarians under which universities will dispose of thousands of archive copies of niche academic journals and a National Research Reserve (NRR) created at the British Library. researchers will, in future, use electronic versions of journals and have to request hard copies from the NRR.

Push to publish 'leads to fraud'
Article Abstract:
Researchers face such pressure to publish papers in top journals that many are driven to fraudulent practices, according to claims by leading academics. It is argued that more researchers are resorting to scienfitic fraud, including witholding or fabricating data, due to competition to publish research results.
