Fertile dream fields
Article Abstract:
The success of the low-budget feature film 'Love and Other Catastrophes' directed by 25-year-old Emma-Kate Croghan is a further testament to the success of graduates of Australia's two leading schools of film and television. Croghan attended the film and television school of the Victoria College of the Arts, an affiliate of the University of Melbourne, while her film-making partner Stavros Andonis Efthymiou attended the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney, Australia. Graduates of the AFTRS include Jane Campion and Phil Noyce.

Welsh start statement regime
Article Abstract:
The UK's Disability Discrimination Act 1995 requires higher education institutions to publish statements on policies and provisions for the disabled before they can receive grants. Welsh institutions have now done this and English and Scottish institutions will follow in early 1997. Skill, the National Bureau for Students with Disabilities, has published a guide to the Act which also details other obligations higher education institutions have in their roles as employers, providers of non-educational facilities and service providers.
