Final days of desperate man cast a dark shadow
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the lessons that can be learnt from the UK Government's handling of biological weapons expert David Kelly is made ahead of the broadcasting of "The Government Inspector", a two-hour reconstruction of the events leading up to his suicide, on Channel 4 on 17 March 2005. It is argued that the programme shows that the Government ignored its "duty of care" to its employees in this case, but that the journalists who exploited Kelly should also reflect on their actions.

Stargazer who sits in Albert's shadow
Article Abstract:
A biography of Arthur Stanley Eddington, the astrophysicist who, on 19 May 1919, verified Albert Einstein's theory of the cosmos. While the centenary of Einstein's achievements is now being celebrated, Eddington, who in his day was regarded as the world's leading astrophysicist, has now largely been forgotten.
