Finger on pulse of teaching skill
Article Abstract:
Lancaster University recently ran a short course which was aimed at introducing basic teaching skills to postgraduates and young lecturers. As universities come under greater commercial pressure, academics must teach students to learn independently, and this requires a new approach to teaching. The emphasis is now being placed on learning in small groups, although instruction is still given in how to handle large lectures.

Romance is but a fiction
Article Abstract:
Many leading feminists were detractors of romantic novels, saying that they prevented women from liberating themselves. Women are said to enjoy this type of writing because they like to have feelings expressed, in everyday life as well as in a book.
