Gender pay gap 'has got wider'
Article Abstract:
Female academics are still lagging behind their male colleagues when it comes to career prospects, pay and promotions, according to research conducted by the Association of University Teachers (AUT). The AUT argues that the research shows that little has been done to ensure equal pay for work of equal value and notes that the pay gap in men's favour, which currently stands at 15%, is wider than it was five years ago.
