How will history judge Horatio Nelson?
Article Abstract:
The Laughton professor of naval history at King's College London defends the reputation of Horatio Nelson. He argues that Nelson was a defining genius of naval command, the greatest warrior England has produced and a shining example of what a leader should be. It is acknowledged that Nelson had his faults, but it is contended that these only serve to make his heroic aspects all the greater.
