How to help stressed students cope
Article Abstract:
Students may often express anxiety about exams to their tutors, and there are a number of ways that their tutors can help. The students often feel powerless, so the aim to to encourage them to feel more in control. They can be told that exams are not easy, and that feeling worried about them is normal. The strengths that they show can be emphasized, such as their success in tackling difficult situations in the past. They can also be asked what would aid them in performing better, to help them find their own solutions.
