Article Abstract:
An examination of the growing trend for the use of wireless technology by those attending conferences and how this can enrich the conference experience, as well as cause potential embarrassment for those giving lectures. It is argued that whilst there is a potential downside to the encroachment of this technology, on balance the use of these technologies is likely to be beneficial, offering added possibilities for collective learning and increasing the level of interaction between members of the audience.
