Article Abstract:
The National Center for Research in Vocational Education has come up with with a set of suggestions that will ensure federal grants for vocational training and school-to-work schemes by integrating the vocational and academic curricula. The division between career-related education and academic courses has proved to be inimical to the interests of the students. Due to the stress on theoretical lessons in the college curriculum, academic students have had little exposure to career-oriented,practical and technical coaching. The vocational students were also not given adequate theoretical knowledge.

Make room for Dali
Article Abstract:
It is a fallacy to assume that technical students do not have the sensibility to appreciate the humanities. The myth discourages vocational trainees from attempting to study of literature, sociology, art, music or culture. The efforts to create a distinction between vocational education and academics has deprived technical students of a chance to improve their knowledge of the humanities. Emphasis on the arts is essential for both the technical and the non-technical courses.
