Advancell and Kymos are preparing to provide in-vitro models and biological fluid analysis for the pharmaceutical industry at Spain's first science park at Barcelona University. Park planners hope that the research park will attract other biotech interests to Spain for good. Whereas spin-offs were rare in the past, they are now possible but are difficult due to bureaucratic obstacles.
