Suicide don under 'huge stress' in job

Universities have been urged to bolster staff support services after an inquest heard how an academic committed suicide after being unable to cope with the pressures of her job. Kingston University (KU) will carry out a review of its occupational health service for staff after Diana Winstanley, professor at KU's School of Human Resource management, hanged herself.

Wildfowl threat on campus
Article Abstract:
Universities with waterways and lakes populated by ducks and wildfowl and institutions with farms keeping poultry, are on alert after the arrival of bird flu in the UK. Estates and grounds staff have been ordered to watch for sick or dead birds across campuses and university parklands.
