Article Abstract:
An analysis of George W. Bush's chances of winning a second term in office as US president. It is argued that with the US economy on track, the capture of Saddam Hussein and the lack of any serious challenge from within his own party, Bush should succeed in his attempt to win reelection.

An analysis of American interest in the upcoming UK general election, which is due to take place on 05 May 2005. It is noted that while the US is generally quite self-absorbed, there is significant interest in the UK election for reasons both recent and historic.
