'I've no regrets. We've touched a raw nerve'
Article Abstract:
Sue Blackwell, lecturer at Birmingham University and human rights campaigner, claims that, despite receiving hate mail, death threats and hundreds of abusive e-mails, she has no regrets about her campaign to convince the Association of University Teachers to boycott two Israeli universities for their alleged complicity in the human rights abuses of the Israeli Government. Blackwell contends that the amount of abuse she has received makes her more determined to continue as it proves that she has touched a raw nerve and that it has forced some Israeli academics to think about their actions.
