Life tenure on the Supreme Court: Time for a change?
Article Abstract:
Several observers of the Supreme Court believe that it is time to reconsider the provision for life tenure of justices. Looking at the facts underlying the proposals, it is found that the modern justices are actually controlling the judicial policy for less time than the justices in any previous period and hence it is recommended that Congress provide a new retirement policy to encourage elderly justices to voluntarily take early retirement.

Teachers make the difference: Responsibility and commitment
Article Abstract:
A study on teachers and pupil achievement reveals that children with teachers who have a greater sense of responsibility for student outcomes learn more in their reading activities during first grade. It also finds that supportive school leadership bolsters a sense of commitment among teachers, creating an environment in which they willingly accept responsibility for students' progress and in which students learn.
