Love - like a grammatical shift - can make you do the wacky
Article Abstract:
Michael Adams, chair of the English department at Allbright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, has just had his latest book, Slayer Slang: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer Lexicon, published. He was inspired to write the book after hearing the ways in which language was used by characters in the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Adams argues that the series creates a perfect case study for the way in which new words or forms either succeed or fail to enter the written and spoken language.

Article Abstract:
Aaron Ben-Ze'ev analyses the nature of online relationships and cybersex in the light of the publication of his book "Love Online: Emotions on the Internet". It is argued that the Internet has changed the domain of romantic relationships in a way that will cause social forms such as cohabitation and marriage to be modified and will cause the idea of "betrayal" in relationships to become less common.
