Media Bag
Article Abstract:
An interactive videodisc system has been developed by Interac Corporation. This system uses eight TV monitors with multiple videodisc players connected to one microprocessor. Each monitor can have different videodiscs with educational software specific for an application. Each half-hour disk stores 54,000 frames, or a total of 108,000 frames, when two videodisc players interface with a monitor. A character generator for creating text allows changeable data to mix with permanent videodisc data. A script development system allows creation and updating of programs.

Spending Media Money
Article Abstract:
Although the cost of curriculum enriching media materials has risen thirty-eight per cent during the last few years, media budgets are constantly being cut. The library media budget has to take into account the needs of students, teachers and other personnel. Therefore, the budget can be a reflection of a school's priorities. Examples of a media budget reflecting a curriculum priority program in Boyertown, Pennsylvania are given. The success of a media program is judged by results in the classroom.
