Oxford is urged to split v-c role
Article Abstract:
Oxford University should have a US style academic leadership, according to some prominent Oxford academics, with the vice-chancellor role divided between a president and a provost. Proposals for changing the way the university is led is one of several issues set to test leadership of vice-chancellor John Hood in the coming academic term.

Dons warily vote to reform

Oxford dons have voted on reforms at the university. The Oxford Congregation, the university's parliament of dons, has moved closer to handing control over to outsiders but has not fully endorsed the reforms proposed by vice-chancellor John Hood.
