Political tunnel vision is today's real terror
Article Abstract:
The growing trend for people to retreat from the public and the political and instead focus on the private and the personal, as demonstrated by a steady decline in election participation rates, poses as much, if not more, of a threat to modern society as terrorism as it will lead to growth in feelings of insecurity and isolation and the development of a culture of fear. It is argued that unless we accept some political responsibility and reject the current, narrow, politics of fear, then we face an insecure and unpredictable future.

The fear and self loathing in Las Vegas
Article Abstract:
An analysis of Anti-Americanism and how anti-American sentiment has grown in the United States since the events of September 11 2001. It is argued that many Americans now see the exercise of their own country's power as being an exercise in egotism, its own success as arrogance, its freedoms as being illusory and its desire to defend itself from attack as being the acts of a bully.

Don't send in the tanks
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the decision by Prime Minister to sanction the deployment of the Army to protect a UKPd18 mil biomedical research facility being constructed in Oxford, UK. It is argued that using the Army in this way to deal with animal rights activists will not win over public opinion and what the Government should do is engage in informed public debate.
