Article Abstract:
The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework is going to be launched in Glasgow next month. This will set out levels and credit points for all of the qualifications from all of Scotland's main awarding institutions. This will help people better determine how qualifications compare with one another and see which is best suited for them.

Scots roll out the bandwagon

Wendy Alexander, Scotland's minister for enterprise and life-long learning, has announced a plan to make broadband services available to higher and further education facilities in two new areas of the country, namely the Highlands and Islands, and southern Scotland. The increased services are part of the Digital Scotland initiative.

Scots line up behind inclusion campaign
Article Abstract:
Scotland is actively pursuing a policy of social inclusion with regard to education to encourage more access. Seventeen per cent of those entering higher education come from non-traditional backgrounds as opposed to twelve per cent in the rest of the United Kingdom.
