Article Abstract:
An examination of the ethical complexities arising from scientific advances in the fields of stem-cell technology and xeno-transplantation which are taking place as part of efforts to fill the gap left by a scarcity of donor organs. Theses issues will be discussed by people taking part in the Transparent Transplants debate, a public debate due to take place on 31 March 2004 which has been organised by the Policy Studies Institute and the Science Museum's Dana Centre as part of efforts to push debate forwards by bringing experts and the public together.
