Students demand more power
Article Abstract:
Croatian students from Zagreb University have protested over new legislation affecting student unions. They argue that they were not consulted over the law and that it is too vague, with universities allowed too much freedom to interpret the law. The students prefer to develop their own legislation using international models. Croatian students tend not to be interested in politics and have been through a war. There are internal issues at Zagreb University relating to the rector's relationship with the students.

Silent veterans trapped in the ruins of a dead war
Article Abstract:
War can have a major impact on individuals who witness deaths or lose family and friends. The fear and grief that are experienced can have long-lasting scars. This is evident from United Kingdom case studies relating to the Seconnd World War. The interpretation from popular history is that people had adventures and made friends during the war. It was seen as unpatriotic not to be positive. Too little research has been carried out on theimpact of war in the UK.
