Sweden may end free education for non-EU learners
Article Abstract:
A parliamentary committee has recommended that non-European Union students studying in Sweden be charged SEK 80,000 per year in tuition fees. The Swedish National Union of Students is outraged by the recommendation and says it would make Sweden one of the most expensive places to study in Europe.

China set to limit rising enrolments

China's State Council will restrict the growing number of students in an effort to improve teaching conditions and reduce graduate unemployment levels. The decision to cap university enrolments is expected to lead to a rise in demand for overseas study.
